Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By using this website, its barcode-generation API, or downloading files it produces (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
The Service generates barcode and QR-code images from content you provide, converts GTIN/UPC identifiers into GS1 Digital Link QR codes, and decodes barcode images you supply. Image scanning and CSV processing run locally in your browser; barcode rendering requests are sent to our servers.
3. Your content
You keep all rights to the data you encode. You are responsible for it: do not encode content that is unlawful, infringes others’ rights, or is designed to harm the people who scan it (for example, links to malware or phishing pages).
4. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to disrupt the Service, probe its security, or circumvent rate limits or access controls.
- Do not resell the Service or offer it to third parties as your own hosted API without our written consent.
- Automated use is welcome within published rate limits; sustained bulk traffic requires prior arrangement.
5. Barcodes and compliance — important
Barcodes generated here are produced to published symbology specifications, but you are responsible for verifying fitness for your use — including check digits, GS1 licensing of your GTINs/company prefixes, retailer or regulatory acceptance (e.g. FDA UDI, EU FMD), and scan-testing printed output at final size before production runs. GS1® is a registered trademark of GS1 AISBL; this Service is not affiliated with or endorsed by GS1.
6. Generated images
We claim no ownership of the barcode images the Service generates for you. You may use them for any lawful purpose, commercial or personal, without attribution.
7. Privacy
Scanned images and CSV files never leave your browser. Barcode-rendering requests necessarily include the content to encode and your IP address; server logs are kept only for operating and protecting the Service. We do not sell personal data. Links to Google Play are subject to Google’s own terms and privacy policy.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Barzig Lab Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service — including losses caused by unreadable or incorrectly encoded barcodes. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (currently zero for free use).
10. Changes and availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date; continued use after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.
